CHILE UPDATE: Thousands await refuge from injury, hunger, thirst, fear.  Kinship Circle’s team arrives 3/30/10 to work in hard hit coast towns.

WE NEED TO RAISE AT LEAST $500,00 TO:
—  Finance our initial five-person team, in Chile to assess the emergency for animals. This deployment will help form our extended plan for the rescue/recovery of earthquake affected animals.

—  Fund Kinship Circle teams over 3 to 6 months — including veterinarians, vet techs, first responders, and a Chile project manager — to conduct:
*   Search and Rescue / Trapping
*   In-Field First Aid / Wound Transport
*   In-Field Sustenance (food/water program)
*   Assessment and Tracking of Animal Populations
*   1-Year Clinic/Shelter (for homeless and temporarily surrendered animals)
*   Extended Care (vaccines, spay/neuter, and adoption programs)

*  DONATE TO CHILE RELIEF FUND NOW:

*   DONATE BY CHECK OR MONEY ORDER:
Kinship Circle / 7380 Kingsbury Blvd. / St. Louis, MO 63130

KINSHIP CIRCLE IS AUTHORIZED BY CHILI’S GOVERNMENT. DONATIONS HELP FUND:
1)  A temporary shelter/clinic to care for animals left homeless by the earthquake as well as provide extended care for those animals without caretakers or who require more medical aid.

2)  A spay/neuter campaign with the goal to sterilize 5,000 to 6,000 animals. With enough funding, a spay/neuter program can change both the post-quake and long-term landscape for Chile’s animals.

3)  Transport and adoption campaigns, particularly in the U.S. In addition to a large pre-quake stray population, thousands more animals are left homeless by overwhelmed quake survivors.
